March 19, 2007 Cornish Game Hens and Dark Cornish

This is the picture that you wanted Aunt Cheryl but this hen is not the hen that you buy at the grocery store.

Mom's note...You can make the pictures bigger or read the discriptions of the chickens better if you click on them. Also, I found it very interesting that Lukas named his chicken "Indian" as while I was reading the discription of the dark cornish; I discovered that they used to be called "Indian Games". I had to add this as a comment as Lukas would not allow me to add it as a Mom's Note on his blog...and we are in a friendly commpetition over who can receive the most comments.

Lukas,

I know you are going to win with the most comments. Dillan wanted to know what you and Logan's blog was to show his class at school, he probably will do something with the pictures also as he is in a Technology class and is learning how to do powerpoints and all kinds of neat things. I just learned today that you should only keep your hens one year to get them to lay the most eggs. So, now I have to decide if I want to get rid of all my hens and get new ones before Christian and Jasmine get home.
